Unveiling ceremony of ECUST-Feymer Joint Laboratory of Ecological Technology
held in the city of Zhangjiagang
This Friday on May 25th, 2018, the unveiling ceremony of ECUST-Feymer Joint Laboratory of Ecological Technology was held at Feymer Technology Co., Ltd. in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu Province.

Head of the School of Chemical Engineering, Prof. Xuedong Zhu attended the ceremony on behalf of our university. Prof. Xuhong Guo, Prof. Li Li and Dr. Fang Zhao were present on behalf of our group as well as 2 PhD students (Fuzhi Nan and Yu Wang), a master student (Chen Hua) and 2 bachelor students (Liheng Dai and Kai Qu). Chairman and Executive President of Feymer, Yixin Xiong and Xingguang Wei, together with some Feymer managers, participated in the ceremony on behalf of Feymer. Moreover, President of Zhangjiagang, Xinhua Hu, and some officers from the local government and Bureau of Science and technology were also present on behalf of the city of Zhangjiagang.
Executive President of Feymer Xingguang Wei kicked off the ceremony with an introduction on the company and mutual communication and cooperation between Feymer and our group. Then Prof. Xuhong Guo introduced the research topic of the newly-founded Joint Laboratory, which is mainly focused on new materials for the removal of trace heavy metals in wastewater, reduction of sludging for reverse osmosis membrane and sand fixation. Then Head of the School of Chemical Engineering, Prof. Xuedong Zhu, spoke at ceremony and pointed out that Zhangjiagang, being located at the downstream of Yangtze River, has a prominent geographical advantage for the development of chemical industry. He congratulated the foundation of the Joint Laboratory with great expectation. Afterwards, President of the city of Zhangjiagang, Xinhua Hu, gave a friendly welcome to us and also some good propositions on the long-term development of the Joint Laboratory. Ultimately, they unveiled the plaque of the Joint Laboratory.
This Joint Laboratory will provide benefits for our group including more supports and resources for research, increased potential for the commercialization of our achievement, and an alternative of practical training base for students. The foundation of ECUST-Feymer Joint Laboratory of Ecological Technology indicates a good commencement of a new fashion of collaboration between our group and industries.
