The research interests of our group mainly focus on the preparation, characterization and application of functional polymer materials in the fields of Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Environmental Science and Agricultural Science etc. We are mainly concentrating on six research orientations:
(1) Spherical polyelectrolyte brushes and their surface chemistry for nanoparticle stabilization and interface functionalization in catalysis, diagnostics, and nanomaterials.
(2) Flash nanoprecipitation-assisted preparation of polymer-encapsulated nanoparticles in microreactors for high-throughput and scalable formulation of functional delivery systems.
(3) Amphiphilic comb-type copolymers and their rheological tuning of multiphase energy systems such as crude oil, refined products, and slurry fuels for enhanced transport and recovery.
(4) Polymer-assisted macromolecular release systems enabling smart delivery of pesticides and fertilizers for precision agriculture and sustainable crop management.
(5) Polymeric hydrogels for eco-engineering applications including soil stabilization, sand fixation, and remediation of degraded lands.
(6) Functional polymeric materials for electronics, including photoresists and silicon-based adhesives tailored for lithium-ion battery manufacturing and integration.
